One afternoon I watched the local news report that the county pet shelter had an adorable dog that was abused and needed a forever home. Simultaneously, the children and I agreed that we would be that home for him. While at the shelter, they introduced us to two candidates.

The dogs were brought into the room separately. When Russell entered the room he ran straight into my arms, like it was love at first sight! The staff stood in amazement as they had never seen a dog do that before. It was evident that we were destined to be together.

Since the day he entered our lives, he has been a protector, a friend, a playmate, and a best friend for our whole family. Even though we were there to help him, he has enhanced our lives in many ways. Scientists have proven that dogs reduce the risk of heart attacks, reduce depression, offer companionship and purpose and teach children responsibility. I knew then I wanted to open a store for dog lovers like me and deliver high-quality products for your furry best friends.
